On December 21^st, 2021 at 1330 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the mutual aid box assignment were dispatched to the 10 block of Fairway Drive in the Fairway Village development for a reported house fire.  Engines 84-2, 84-4 84-6 and Rescue 84 made the response.  Upon arrival units found a smoke condition inside the residence.  After a thorough investigation it was determined the HVAC system had malfunctioned causing the smoke condition.  The residence was ventilated and the power secured to the HVAC unit pending repairs.  Millville, Bethany Beach, Roxana and Frankford VFC’s operated for just over 30 minutes before returning to service.
