Five-Vehicle Accident - Camp Barnes & Double Bridges Roads

On Thursday August 6 at 3:42 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company and Sussex County Paramedics were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Camp Barnes and Double Bridges Roads. Within one minute of the dispatch, emergency units were responding to the alarm. The ambulance crew, paramedics and firefighters arrived to a five-vehicle accident that initially involved one vehicle being struck in the rear by another vehicle. Only one occupant needed to be transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes for additional treatment after being removed from her vehicle. Engine Lieutenant Gregory Tietmeyer turned the accident scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
