On November 24^th, 2021 at 1152 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Water Rescue Task were dispatched to a water rescue at the end of Peaceful Lane in the Solitude Development north of Millville.  The report was for a male subject approximately 10’ from shore in the water for an unknown reason.  Upon arrival of Command 84 and Ambulance C-84 it was determined the subject had been rescued from the water by civilians in the area and brought to shore.  Medical attention for hypothermia was immediately undertaken by the personnel of C-84, A-84 and Sussex County Paramedic 105.  The patient was transported to Beebe Medical Center.  The Water Rescue Task Force consisted of EMS and Marine units from the Millville VFC, Marine 70 (Bethany Beach VFC), Marine 80 (Indian River VFC), Sussex County Paramedics, DNREC, USCG and Delaware State Police Aviation Trooper 2.
