On Thursday November 16^th, 2023 at 1123 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with Sussex County EMS were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle collision on Atlantic Avenue in the area of Windmill Road in Millville.  Units arrived to find a single vehicle motor vehicle collision where a vehicle had hit a pole and then continued on, coming to rest in a nearby water retention pond.  One patient was extricated, treated and transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Delaware by Millville EMS.  Engine 84-4, Rescue 84, Command 84-8, Ambulance A-84, Ambulance D-84 and SCEMS Medic 105 made the response.  Delmarva Power was contacted due to the extensive damage to the utility pole.  Units operated for approximately 30 minutes.  Lieutenant Ty Webb had command of the incident.  The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Police for investigation.  #millvilledefire   www.millville84.com
