After decades of courageous service, today we gathered to celebrate the remarkable career of a dedicated firefighter and EMT, Wally Evans who has devoted much of his life to the safety and well-being of our community. From battling fires to providing life-saving care in critical moments, his unwavering commitment and bravery have made a profound impact on countless lives.

It is with deep regret that President Hocker announces the passing of Harold C. Lloyd on the morning of June 9, 2025. Harold was a member of the company for over 60 years, having joined on August 4, 1964.

On April 16, 2025 we published a press release about a race related incident that occurred within Millville Vol Fire Co. As part of that press release we made promises to review policies and training. We have done that!

The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice invited us to participate in a panel discussion focused on racial discrimination and hate crimes. The purpose of the meeting is to advocate for the cessation of hate incidents and harassment directed towards African Americans in Sussex County.
