Today, December 2, 2022 members of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, in the holiday spirit, decorated Fire Station 1 on Atlantic Avenue in Millville, Delaware.

On Monday November 28th, 2022 at 1401 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment in the 90 block of Atlantic Avenue in Ocean View.

On November 18, 2022 at 0508 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a reported unknown type fire in the 30000 block of East Lagoon Road in Dogwood Acres.

The Millville Volunteer Fire Company reminds residents to change (traditional 9V batteries) or check (10 year batteries) their smoke detector batteries on November 6th, 2022 the day that daylight saving time ends. Working smoke detectors save lives!

The Millville Volunteer Fire Company and the National Fire Prevention Association want to remind our residents and visitors that Halloween is a time for fun and spooky celebrations and activities, but it can also be a time for some truly scary fire safety hazards. As the holiday nears, take simple precautions that can help ensure the holiday remains fun and fire safe.

On Monday October 31st, 2022 at 1230 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Bethany Beach VFC were dispatched to the 31000 block of Suzon Place in the Bowerset development for a report cut gas line.

On Saturday October 29th, 2022 at 1142 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Bethany Beach VFC with a structure fire in the 500 block of Alexander Drive in Bethany Beach.

On November 28th, 2022 the nation is honoring first responders with a National First Responders Day. Locally we would like to thank Lori Martin from Lori Martin Group and R.J. Kauffman from Keller Williams for sponsoring a food truck from Kristina’s Kitchen to serve breakfast for all of the local area first responders.

On Wednesday October 26th, 2022 at 1330 hours the Annual Fire Prevention Awards Ceremony was held at the Lord Baltimore Elementary School in Ocean View, Delaware.

On Sunday October 16th, 2022 from 1100-1500 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company will host an Open House at Station 1 located at 35554 Atlantic Avenue in Millville.

National Fire Prevention Week is fast approaching! This year Fire Prevention Week is October 9th-15th, 2022. This year’s theme is “Fire Won’t Wait, Plan Your Escape” emphasizing the importance of home escape plans.

On September 16, 2022 the Millville Volunteer Fire Company Capital Campaign Committee had a preliminary meeting for the organization of our first inaugural Car Show in the spring of 2023.
