MVFC inducts Three New Honorary Members

On Saturday January 8th, 2022 at our annual “Awards Night” the Millville Volunteer Fire Company inducted three new Honorary Members. Mr. Franklin Bennett, Mr. Al Casapulla and Mr. Charlie Lynch were inducted as Honorary Members by President Greg Hocker to much applause and a show appreciation by all in attendance.

John "Jack" Melson receives Award for 50 Years of Service

On Saturday January 8th, 2022 at the Millville Volunteer Fire Company “Awards Night” Mr. John “Jack” Melson was recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Association (DVFA) for “Recognition of 50 Years of Dedicated Service to the citizens of Delaware”.

Craig Temple receives Award for 50 Years of Service

On December 26, 2021 at 1756 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Sussex County Paramedics and Delaware State Police Aviation division were dispatched to 36000 block of Double Bridges Road for a reported motor vehicle accident with reported roll over and a pole and wires down.

On December 24th, 2021 at 1307 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Bethany Beach VFC with a reported gas leak in the 29000 block of Ocean Ridge Drive.

On December 21st, 2021 at 1330 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the mutual aid box assignment were dispatched to the 10 block of Fairway Drive in the Fairway Village development for a reported house fire. Engines 84-2, 84-4 84-6 and Rescue 84 made the response.

On December 20th, 2021 at 1204 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the mutual aid box assignment was dispatched to a reported house fire in the unit block of Mallard Drive in the Gander Woods development.

On December 19th, 2021 at 0957 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to a possible building fire, a report of smoke in the building, at the Bay Forest Recreation Building in the 36000 block of Shearwater Drive in the Bay Forest Development.
