The Millville Volunteer Fire Company would like to wish Life Member Norman Amendt a Happy 81st Birthday today!

On Sunday February 26th, 2023 at 1605 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Roxana VFC (mutual aid street alarm assignment) was dispatched to a chimney fire in the 36000 block of Wild Wood Avenue south of Ocean View.

On February 24th, 2023 at 1148 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a reported woods fire in the 36000 block of Double Bridges Road.

On Tuesday evening February 21, 2023 several members of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company attended the “Business After Hours” event held at the Salted Rim Restaurant located at 35553 Atlantic Avenue in Millville.

On Saturday February 18th, 2023 at 1701 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to an automatic fire alarm in the unit block of Sunrise Lane in the Country Village development in Ocean View.

On Tuesday evening January 14th, 2023 at 1752 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the mutual aid street alarm assignment were dispatched to the 34000 block of Peppers Corner Road for a reported shed fire.

On Tuesday February 7th, 2023 at the regular meeting of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company FF/EMT Mike O’Brien was presented the “Ralph L. Banks Sr.” Training Award for the Year 2022.

On Saturday February 4th, 2023 the Millville Volunteer Fire Company provided the Seaford VFD a stand-by crew while their members enjoyed a night off to attend their annual banquet.

On Wednesday February 1st, 2023 at 1013 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Dagsboro VFD with a confined space rescue, one patient trapped in an elevated sand bin in the 30000 block of Thorogoods Road north of Dagsboro.

On Tuesday January 31st, 2023 the Millville Volunteer Fire Company held a farewell and appreciation luncheon for EMS Chief John Watson.

On Tuesday evening January 31st, 2023 at 1900 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company held is monthly training session. The topic this month was forcible entry “through the lock” presented by Assistant Chief Skip Carey (Salisbury, MD ret.) and Lieutenant Bobby Magee (OCFD & MVFC).

On Sunday January 29th, 2023 at 1058 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police Aviation unit were dispatched for a motor vehicle collision with a vehicle reported into a structure with a gasoline leak in the 37000 block of Pettinaro Drive in the Bethany Bay Development.

The Millville Volunteer Fire Company in conjunction with the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce’s Fire and Ice Festival will hold our 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off on January 28th, 2023 from 11am – 3pm at Millville VFC Fire Station 1 located at 35554 Atlantic Avenue in Millville, Delaware.

On Saturday January 28, 2023 the Millville Volunteer Fire Company held its 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off. This year’s event was very well attended with 500 tickets sold.
